Dump the electoral college

So Hillary wins the popular vote and loses. As a Hillary supporter you feel cheated. That damn electoral college did it again, you mumble to yourself.

   So now what? Move to Canada? No...You say to yourself, to cold. Protest? Perhaps a fun way to spend an afternoon, but fruitless in eliminating the problem.

    Be careful what you wish for.You just may get it. As the old saying goes. Donald Trump made no effort to win votes in California. The state that supplied the majority of popular votes for Hillary Clinton that gave her the popular vote win.

   Eliminate the electoral college and that changes. Mr. Trump or future Republicans will invest the time, money and effort to increase that vote total in California and other Democrat safe states.

   The reverse is also true. But there are millions of potential votes in California alone, for a Republican. There is only a fraction of those potential votes for a Democrat in Republican safe states. So as you lament the results of the election and the electoral college. A change to a popular vote for president just might not be what you really want.

Israel say it has proof that the US was behind the resent UN vote that is causing a diplomatic earth quake. John Kerry denies the charge in strongest of "diplomatic" terms. So will Israel have to put up or shut up? Not really. Israel spy's on the US as we spy on them. To "put up" would be to do exactly what Obama would want. To publicly expose there (Israel's) intelligence gathering ability for all to see would do greater harm than a UN vote. Obama and John Kerry are soon out of power.
